Phone camera tips for better photos
- Wipe the lens. A greasy lens is the most common reason for hazy photos. Use your shirt.
- Tap to focus on what matters, then slide up or down to adjust brightness.
- Turn on the grid in camera settings and put your subject on one of the lines, not in the dead centre.
- Don't zoom with your fingers on phones without a zoom lens. Walk closer instead, or crop later.
- Light from the side or front. A window next to someone makes a much better portrait than a ceiling light above them.
- Hold still and take several. Burst mode (hold the shutter) helps with moving kids and pets.
- Lower the camera for pets and children. Photos from their eye level look far better.
