Formatting your posts on Nakodu: markdown basics

Posts and comments on Nakodu use markdown: plain text with a few symbols for formatting. The toolbar above the editor adds these for you, but here's what they do:

• **bold** gives bold
• *italic* gives italic
• [your text](the web address) turns your text into a link
• Start a line with - for a bullet list, or 1. for a numbered list
• Start a line with > for a quote
• Wrap code in backticks: like this

You can also mention people and hubs: write u/ followed by a username, or n/ followed by a hub name, and it becomes a link.

Tip: leave an empty line between paragraphs, otherwise they run together.
